Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about trading on Raiders Trade.
General
What is Raiders Trade?
Raiders Trade is a free, community-run platform where Arc Raiders players can list items they want to trade, get automatically matched with compatible traders, and arrange item-for-item swaps directly inside the game. We don't handle money or in-game items — we just connect players who have what the other needs.
Is this site official or affiliated with Embark Studios?
No. Raiders Trade is an entirely independent community project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Embark Studios AB. All Arc Raiders trademarks and game assets belong to Embark Studios. Item data is sourced from MetaForge, an independent community database.
Is it free to use?
Yes. Posting listings, browsing trades, sending trade requests, and using chat are completely free. The core trading platform has no cost whatsoever.
What items can I trade?
Any item that exists in Arc Raiders can be listed — weapons, attachments, consumables, blueprints, materials, and more. Use the built-in item search (powered by MetaForge) to find your exact item so the listing shows the correct icon, rarity, and type.
How is this different from just posting in a Discord server?
Raiders Trade gives you automatic matching (no manual scrolling), a searchable database of all active listings, a reputation system so you know who to trust, and in-site chat. Everything stays in one place and is indexed so trades don't get lost in chat history.
Accounts & Embark IDs
What is an Embark ID?
Your Embark ID is your unique in-game username in Arc Raiders, including the # tag if applicable (e.g. J_BICO #1234). Other traders use this to find you inside the game to complete the swap. An incorrect Embark ID means the trade can't happen, so double-check it when you register.
Can I change my Embark ID on this site?
Embark ID changes are not self-service — contact us via the Contact page if your in-game ID changes. Using an outdated or incorrect ID will cause your trades to fail and may get your account flagged by other traders.
Do I need an email to register?
No. Your Embark ID and a password are all that's required to create an account. Email is optional and only used for account recovery if you add one.
Can I have more than one account?
No. Multiple accounts are a bannable offence, particularly if used to evade a previous ban or suspension. If you have a legitimate reason to access a second account, contact us.
Trading
How does a trade work, step by step?
First, post a listing — enter the item you're offering and the item you want in return. The system scans all other active listings and highlights exact matches. Either party can send a trade request. Once accepted, you'll get an in-site chat to coordinate meeting in-game. Swap the items simultaneously inside Arc Raiders, then mark the trade as complete and optionally leave a review.
What is a "Looking For" listing?
A Looking For listing means you're searching for a specific item and open to offers for it. You can optionally state what you're willing to offer in return, or leave it open so other players can message you with what they have available.
What happens after a trade request is accepted?
You'll both receive a notification and a chat opens between you and the other trader. Use the chat to agree on a time, map, and meeting spot.
What if the other trader doesn't show up?
A no-show without prior notice is a violation of our Community Rules and results in a strike against the offending account. Report the listing and explain what happened — admin review typically results in a warning or strike.
Can I cancel a trade after accepting?
Yes, but only with a legitimate reason and with communication to the other trader. Repeated cancellations without explanation are treated as bad-faith behaviour and can result in posting restrictions.
Matching
How does the automatic matching work?
When you view a listing, the system queries all other active listings to find trades where the other person is offering what you want AND wanting what you're offering. These show up as "matches" with a count badge on the trade card. It's a two-way cross-reference — no algorithms, just exact item ID matching.
Why is my listing showing zero matches?
It means no other active listing is an exact mirror of yours. Try browsing manually to see if close-but-not-exact alternatives exist. Matches are recalculated live each time someone views your listing.
Can I search for a specific item across all listings?
Yes — the Browse page has an item search bar. Enter any item name and it will show all listings where that item appears as either the offering or the wanted item.
Reputation & Reviews
How does the reputation system work?
Every time a trade is marked as completed, both parties can leave a positive or negative review on each other's profile. Your completed trade count and the percentage of positive reviews are shown on every listing you post.
Can I see a trader's history before agreeing to a trade?
Yes — click any trader's Embark ID to visit their profile. You'll see their completed trade count, rep percentage, recent reviews, and any public flags or strikes.
Can reviews be removed or disputed?
Reviews can be reported if they are clearly fake or retaliatory. Admins can remove reviews that violate the rules. We don't remove reviews simply because a trader disagrees with the feedback.
Reports & Safety
How do I report a scammer?
On any trade listing page, scroll down and click the "Report listing" button. Fill in as much detail as possible. Listings that accumulate multiple independent reports are automatically flagged for admin review. You can also email us directly for urgent cases.
What happens after I report someone?
Reports are reviewed by admins, usually within 24 hours. If a scam is confirmed, the offending account receives a strike. Three strikes results in a permanent ban.
Can I leave a review for a trader?
Yes — after a trade is marked as completed, you can leave a positive or negative review on the other trader's profile page. Reviews should be honest and specific.
